Compare UK wedding insurance providers » Why should I have wedding insurance?
When planning a wedding, a lot of people ask ‘Why do I need Wedding Insurance?’
It’s a good question, why when you’re organising your wedding and you need every penny you can get your hands on, why spend some of those much needed pennies on a wedding insurance policy?
There are two simple questions you can ask yourself which will probably answer the question of ‘do I or do I not need wedding insurance’.
1. You’ve saved up hard to pay for your wedding day and wedding reception maybe even taken out a loan; if something happened which meant your wedding couldn’t go ahead as planned, could you afford to lose all that money and then pay to do it all over again?
2. If you spent £1000’s on anything else like a car or a house you would insure it in case anything happened to it because you could lose a lot of money if you didn’t. After these items your wedding day is probably the next biggest thing that you spend the most money on in your life. Shouldn’t you be insuring a thing of such value with Wedding Insurance? When you consider that weddings can cost in excess of £15,000, a wedding insurance policy at £30-£50 doesn't seem an extravagence.
Wedding insurance exists because things unfortunately do go wrong for people looking to get married; everyone hopes it won’t happen to them but the sad fact is that the worst can happen. Wedding Insurance would not exist if the need for it wasn’t there. If something went wrong and the wedding had to be rearranged for another time most people would not be able to find all that money lost to do it all over again.
There's a cliche in the industry that ’You’ll never regret buying insurance’ - but you could regret not buying insurance!!
With Wedding Insurance you have peace of mind that if the worst happens, help is at hand.
If it cost hundreds of pounds to insure your wedding day and wedding insurance was really complicated to buy, then there may be some justification for not buying a wedding insurance policy. The fact is that it can cost less than £30, a small price to pay, and it's really easy for you to buy wedding insurance. With most providers it's simply a case of spending a few minutes filling in an online application with basic details of who you are, where you live and when and where your wedding the wedding receptionwill take place and paying the required premium with a debit or credit card.
